Abstract

Description

In this essay, Participant 236 talks about the pandemic-related adjustments of a university-based fitness and nutrition class that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers. The participant shares that the program was first put on pause due to the pandemic but later continued remotely, operating on virtual platforms for the first time in the program's history. They share about the modifications within the remote programming and changes from the program's original structure, and describes the virtual program as a success.
