dc.descriptionIn this interview, Participant 514 discusses their experience working as an essential worker during the pandemic. The participant shares that they were instructed to not wear a mask in the very beginning of the pandemic because their manager did not want to scare customers. They express that they felt very vulnerable during this time. The participant also talks about mental health challenges they faced because of the pandemic, and how isolation impacts mental health. They describe difficulties they faced getting tested for COVID-19. The participant discusses the different quality of services available depending on a person's socioeconomic status.
