In this interview, Participant 226 describes the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to their life, in changing habits and forming new ones, and not seeing family or friends. The participant shares that the pandemic brought an opportunity to bring to light social justice issues and identify where systems can be improved. They describe their disappointment toward how the pandemic could splinter the United States and have such a destructive impact on public health systems. The participant describes their view that it is important to focus on address inequity in the systems currently in place, and support the communities and populations that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
