Abstract

Description

In this essay, Participant 221 expresses bewilderment over experiencing a pandemic on their 92nd birthday. The participant shares that they feel blessed to be living at home and that they are saddened by how much the elderly community has suffered, especially those in nursing homes. They share that their son is a physician and cannot visit. The participant understands this decision and is thankful for the technology that allows them to remain in touch.
