Abstract

Description

In this interview, Participant 408 shares about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their daily lifestyle and social interactions. The participant shares that attending school remotely has been very challenging, as while the reduction in traveling and jumping between classes has eased, studying from home has led to many distractions. They share that they try to receive information on current events from multiple points of view, but seeing the number of COVID-related deaths on the news led to heightened anxiety. The participant shares an experience of their grandparent falling ill with COVID-19 while living in a nursing home and passing way, and shares that it has been a challenge for their family to keep from getting sick. They discuss navigating mental health and experiencing depression, and encourages the importance of talking about mental health and having a support system.
