Abstract
Description
In this focus group, participants discuss challenges they have faced with health problems, social isolation, and remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. They discuss fears of the unknown and not knowing when the pandemic will end. They talk about how the pandemic made them realize how short life is and learning to appreciate the time they have together with their loved ones. Participants share acts of kindness they received throughout the pandemic. One participant says that their neighbor painted their house for free. Participants found online resources to be very helpful in tracking the number of cases, finding testing sites, and learning where to get vaccinated. Participants share that the pandemic gave them the opportunity to self-reflect and become more spiritual.
