Description
In this interview, Participant 224 shares about their experience living with the G6PD genetic deficiency, and concerns about risks that individuals with G6PD deficiency may face during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participant describes their work as part of a global taskforce to raise awareness, coordinate advocacy efforts, and share information about G6PD deficiency. They share about concerns related to treatments and COVID-19 vaccines, and the importance of newborn testing for G6PD deficiency and studying any potential adverse reactions related to COVID-19 treatment for individuals with the deficiency.
