dc.descriptionIn this interview, Participant 47 discusses the challenges of isolation and feeling that they did not have a sense of purpose during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participant tries to cope with these feelings by keeping occupied with yard work and other chores around the house, and leaning on members of their church community for support. They express feelings of helplessness when seeing others who are not following masking and social distancing orders. The participant says because the media and the public are always focusing on bad news, there is no acknowledgement of the people behind the scenes working hard to fix the problem.
