Abstract
Description
In this essay and art submission, Participant 478 shares their perspective on social isolation, remote learning, and other momentous events that occurred in 2020. They share that the pandemic and having to stay at home encouraged them and their siblings pick up new hobbies to keep occupied. The participant also writes about their perspective on the political divide and racial discrimination in the country. The participant shares that they enjoy drawing, and describe their art piece included in this submission: "This drawing represents 2020 because the female is wearing a mask (which we all have to wear due to coronavirus). She has a coronavirus germ on her mask, toilet paper (which represents the toilet paper people stocked up on), and a medical hat (representing all the medical workers working hard)."
