The New Jersey Food Monitoring & Evaluation Program (NJFMEP) was initiated in 2000 to
address issues raised by the Federal Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. The project was designed to identify and catalog pesticide residues on fresh produce being grown and sold in New Jersey.
