dc.descriptionLocated near the fountain in Lincoln Park is this firefighter memorial dedicated to the memory of the Volunteer Jersey City Firefighters in 1931. Known as The Farrier Memorial, the bronze 6 foot statue of a firefighter sits atop a domed 15-foot Vermont granite base. It was a bequest by Edwin M. Farrier on behalf of his deceased father, Capt. Frederick T. Farrier, his late father. The base on which the statue stands includes four columns with a roof containing the terms Courage, Readiness, Valor and Devotion.
