Description
Located near the fountain in Lincoln Park is this firefighter memorial dedicated to the memory of the Volunteer Jersey City Firefighters in 1931.
Known as The Farrier Memorial, the bronze 6 foot statue of a firefighter sits atop a domed 15-foot Vermont granite base. It was a bequest by Edwin M. Farrier on behalf of his deceased father, Capt. Frederick T. Farrier, his late father.
The base on which the statue stands includes four columns with a roof containing the terms Courage, Readiness, Valor and Devotion.
