The Board's primary mission is the prevention or prompt settlement of labor disputes involving private sector employers, private employees, and unions that represent private employees and to promote labor and management harmony and peace. Occasionally, the Board addresses labor relation disputes of public sector employers not covered by the Public Employment Relations Commission.
