This new building was built of brick in 1869 and has often been referred to as "The Little Red Schoolhouse" This one-room brick schoolhouse was constructed in 1869. The average class size ranged from 30 to 40 children. The school was used by the school district until 1913. In addition to being a public school it served as Sunday school from 1875 to 1937. The building has a gable roof with a cupola for the bell.
