Today, New Jersey owns fewer vehicles than it did in 2004, about 1,000 less. This year the Governor ordered the recall of an additional 445 passenger vehicles. By eliminating these vehicles from the fleet the state will save about $1.1 million annually in maintenance costs. The recalled cars will be sold at auction and generate about $500,000.en-USGovernors - New JerseyGovernment and Politics - New JerseyPress ReleasesCorzine, Jon S., 1947-New Jersey -- Auctions.Putting State Cars on the Auction BlockState Publication
