It was built in 1925 by the Italian immigrants that lived in this section of Newark. Architecturally, the church has a hybrid plan with Romanesque Revival and eclectic elements. The front facade presents a tripartite configuration with the main arched entryway flanked by colossal pilasters and surmounted by a rose window.Original file name IMG_4805.jpg2299x2799St. Lucy's ChurchItalian ParishChurchCatholic ChurchArchdiocese of NewarkRomanesque Revival ArchitectureNational Register of Historic PlacesNew Jersey Register of Historic PlacesCentral WardNewarkEssex CountyGatewayThe Gateway SectionNew JerseyNJJerseyThe Garden StateSt. Lucy's Church in Newark, NJ
