It was dedicated in 1907 in memory of those dedicated Americans who got the important information to our leaders thereby helping them win our independence. The figure is wearing a belted coat with a flowing cape. He is holding a tri-corner hat in his left hand while he cradles a dispatch packet in his right arm.
