Del Collo, Peter "PJ"2021-11-042021-11-042021-01-29https://hdl.handle.net/10929/74800In this collage by Participant 318 from the group MLP Artists, titled "Dreamin' of Dancin'," the participant describes their work: "My art piece, Dreamin' of Dancing, relates to Covid because during the time when everything was first shut down, Dance got closed also. I was so bored and had nothing else to do. I missed being in the dance Studio and dancing every single day. So, at that time I was Dreamin' of Dancin' in the studio, however we can dance in the studio now. Our classes are now hybrid which means class sizes are smaller, not everyone can dance together, and we have to wear masks. Even though we are dancing in the Studio, I am still dreaming of dancing full time, and without a mask. This relates to my personal experience because I miss being able to hang out with my friends and just talk before dance class starts. We used to all always work together on dances and laugh with each other. Now we are not able to. I feel so secluded at dance sometimes not being able to hang out with each other. We are still able to talk to one another, but it is not how it use to be. This is why I have chosen, Dreamin' of Dancin'. I want to be back in the Studio full time, without mask, and to be able to hangout."PDF; PDFThis Item is protected by copyright and/or related rights.
