They describe the abrupt changes of COVID-19 and the perception that parents have had to take on roles as teachers' aides during the pandemic and use devices for virtual schooling. They share the challenges experienced during quarantine, including social isolation and navigating trauma, as well as experiencing the loss of family members. They stayed connected and bridged coalitions with parents across New Jersey, and remained involved in community and advocacy work through their organization.
