It is situated at the top of the hill on Castle Point where the ancestral home of the Stevens family Castle Stevens once stood. Built in 1784 by Colonel John Stevens the Georgian-style mansion served, at times, as a dormitory, a cafeteria and office space. The Castle was demolished in 1959 to make way for the new center building, which was completed in 1961. The center is named for Wesley J. Howe 31 M.S. 53, who was chairman, president and CEO of Becton Dickinson (BD), and a major contributor to the renovation of the building.Original file name 16940677555_73bd9347e5_o.jpg4317x2878Each photograph within this collection is protected by copyright and/or related rights.
