dc.descriptionCreated in 1907 Stokes State Forest is a 16,447 acres reserve located in the Kittatinny Mountains of Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey. Initially, Stokes was created to preserve the forests on the Kittatinny Mountains. Stony Lake is an eight-acre lake located in the heart of this beautiful forest.
