dc.descriptionThis Statue of Augustus Caesar in the lobby of Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City is a copy of the famous Augustus of Prima Porta. It depicts Caesar in this role of "Imperator", or commander-in-chief of the Roman army. He is in military clothing, carrying a consular baton and raising his right hand in a pose, addressing the troops.
