dc.descriptionWhile Jersey Beaches are know for their beautiful white sand, Wildwood Beaches are the only beaches in New Jersey with a variant of black sand and black streak that run throughout the beach. This was caused by the flow of water through the Cape May Canal. This flow has pushed sand from the Delaware Bay and the canal onto the beach resulting in the black sand on the beach drastically changing the look of the beach.
