dc.descriptionThe 18-foot tall Celtic cross in Jersey City�s Lincoln Park the memory of Gorta M�r (the Great Hunger) of 1845-1852 which killed a million of the Irish and sent millions more from their homeland. Erected in 2011 by the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and contains carving of images and symbols that represent Ireland and the Famine One of these carvings is of the first St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jersey City.
