Abstract

Description

Ringing the top of the amphitheatre-like setting are 366 black granite panels, standing upright and inscribed, with the names of and other information about the war dead. The order of the list is by the day of the year on which the person was killed. When a visitor looks upon the wall, his or her own reflection can be seen. This has been designed this way so that the visitor becomes part of this memorial.
