Abstract
Description
The original Monmouth Park opened in Eatontown on July 30, 1870. It was designed for one purpose, to increase summer tourism at the Jersey Shore. Today it is located in Oceanport, New Jersey.
This track is strictly a thoroughbred racing track. The season spans from early May to Labor Day in early September.
It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful tracks in the country.
