| dc.description | One of the most beautiful buildings in Camden is the Cooper Library, which is located in Johnson Park in Camden. Designed by the Philadelphia firm of Karcher and Smit in the Neo-Classical architecture style, the library was built in 1916. After its closure the Cooper Library became the Walt Whitman Cultural Arts Center. It was then acquired by Rutgers University and today serves as a Digital Studies Center and Writing and Design Lab. | |
