dc.descriptionA number of the soldiers met their wives during the winter encampment at Jockey Hollow. According to the records of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown there were three camp related marriages for 1778 and one for 1779. There are, 1778 Job Brown a Soldier to Elizabeth Hopkins.� Rubin Cooper of Virginia, Sergeant to Elizabeth Cady.� George Thorborn Soldier to Nancy Kenny. 1779 Frederick Hill to Hannah Coran.
