Georgian Court University is located on the former winter estate of George Jay Gould, millionaire son of railroad tycoon Jay Gould.
The university is noted for its' arboretum which consists of the following gardens:
- The Italian Garden
- The Sunken Garden
- The Formal Garden
- The Japanese Garden. and,
- Wellness Garden.
This is the Apollon Fountain which is located in the Italian Garden. It was sculpted by John Massey Rhind and is only turned on for special events
