Description
While the Cross was viewed by many as a symbol of hope a group of atheists demanded that it be torn down. They planned to make a Federal Case against the cross by taking the case to court. The trial court ruled that the cross was a historic artifact and an actual piece of 9/11 history. As a result, placing it in the 9-11 museum did not violate the constitution.
