Abstract

Description

Boardwalk Hall was the venue for the August 1964 Democratic National Convention that nominated U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson as the Democratic Party's candidate for the 1964 U.S. presidential election, nine months after the assassination of his predecessor, John F. Kennedy, in November 1963. I remember President Johnson and Vice President Humphrey coming out on this balcony after their nomination to the cheers of the people standing on the Boardwalk
