Abstract
Description
A small group of Jewish families from Central Europe settled in Newark. They founded Temple Bnai Jeshurun (Children of the Upright)
The Congregation quickly grew and in 1968 they moved into this new building in Shore Hills, NJ.
Over the years Bnai Jeshurun evolved from its original Orthodox Judaism to Reform Judaism.
By the turn of the 20th century, Bnai Jeshurun had become one of the foremost Reform Congregations in the United States.
