These watches date back to 1850. One of these watches was carried through the Revolutionary War by Col. Sylvanus Seeley, Commander of the New Jersey Militia. The watch labeled number 4 was made in Newark NJ while the number 3 watch was made in France. The Roman numerals on the Sundial indicate the time of day around the face with Arabic numerals on the reverse. Engraved with "Roch blondeaux Paris 1673. It is made of silver and glass. The Barlow Pocket knife has a large handle or bolster and a carbon steel blade. The Barlow Knife was popular, affordable and tough. Also in the picture is a colonial pen knife which dates back to 1760 -1790. It was called a pen knife because it was often used to trim a feather quill to make a pen.
