dc.descriptionThe church is architecturally significant as one of the most unique religious edifices in Jersey City. It is a colorful mixture of western and eastern design influences. It has a Byzantine-influenced interior, and has retained its ethnic art and symbolism. In both design and workmanship, St. Anthony of Padua Church is indicative of the high quality of late nineteenth century architecture built in Jersey City.
