dc.descriptionAs the industrial base grew in Paterson there was a need to create a better way to use the power generated by the Passaic River. As a result, a series of "new" dams were constructed to divert the water into channels to be used by the various factories. This is one of those "New Dams" Behind the dam is the Wayne Avenue Bridge. Besides handling local traffic, It provides visitors a way to cross over the river to visit both sides of the park.
