dc.descriptionThis is the main entrance to the Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken, New Jersey. Note the Clock Tower in the picture. The original clock tower was constructed in 1907. However, the clock tower had lost much of its copper sheathing to high winds, and after weakening in a storm, it was removed from the building around 1950. It was replaced by this radio tower (shown here) that stood for more than half a century, until it was dismantled in June 2006 to make way for the new clock tower. This terminal is now owned and operated as a commuter rail terminal by New Jersey Transit.
