dc.descriptionCharles Yardley Turner was a famous American painter, illustrator, muralist and teacher. He is known for genre scenes and American history. Hugh Roberts engaged him to paint several murals in the Hudson County Courthouse.. This top photo shows the actual paintings of Washington at Fort Lee. Mr. Turner and his staff finished the mural on the fourth floor of the rotunda of the building. The bottom photo is my pictures showing how the mural looks today.
