Description

Opened in 1914 The Montclair Art Museum was the first museum in New Jersey dedicated solely to art and to granted access to the public. This museum holds a collection of over 12,000 objects showcasing American and Native North American art. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1986, for its significance in art and architecture. The museum's art education program MAM Yard School of Art offers an array of classes for children, youth, adults, seniors, and professional artists.
