Description

St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church of Jersey City, NJ, the oldest Eastern Catholic Church Jersey City. Rite Catholic in the state. It was founded in 1887 and in its early years was a joint venture between Ukrainians and Rusyns. One of its founders was a Lemko named Pavlo Filak, from the village of Luhy, District, in present-day Poland.
