Description

These buildings are located on Broad Street at Harriet Tubman Square in Newark New Jersey. The New Jersey Bell Headquarters Building was built in 1929 by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. With a buff brick and sandstone fa�ade this 20 stories building was at one time headquarters for Verizon New Jersey, Inc. Today the building has been renamed Walker House and converted to residential high-rise apartments. The IDT Building was built in 1957 at 516 Broad Street. It is one of the six buildings that have served as Mutual Benefit Life's headquarters during its time in Newark. The Building became famous for its near-windowless wall of concrete facing the Manhattan skyline to the east. Grace Church was founded in 1837. It is an active and historic Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Newark.
