dc.descriptionThe village store was an important part of Millbrook Village's economic activity. The locals came here and bought whatever they could not grow or make themselves. Well, not so much "bought" as "traded." Farmers and other customers paid for their items with fruits, vegetable, handmade goods, and services, as little cash was available. The storekeeper did a lot of bartering with his customers. Items for sale at the general store included dry goods, medicines and over 400 other items, and the post office was also located here.
