dc.description.abstract | Amid tears of joy and tender embraces, the first soldiers of the 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team returned home from Iraq on Memorial Day celebration. By June 12th, all 2,800 will be home. Their deployment was the largest in NJ since WWII. Governor Corzine was there when the soldiers left and went to visit in Texas before their deployment and also during their tour in Iraq. On Memorial day he was waiting on the tarmac with the families to thank the returning heroes for their service and sacrifice in defense of our nation. | en_US |
