Abstract
Description
Unfortunately during the 1960's the hill was largely obliterated by quarrying. The rock from the hill was used as building material in growing areas like Jersey City.
As a result of this quarrying activity Laurel Hill has been reduced to one-quarter of its the height and four fifths of its base.
