"Out to Lunch" Statue in Palmer Square in Princeton

dc.descriptionLocated in Palmer Square, this statue was created by J. Seward Johnson, Jr. the disinherited heir to the Johnson & Johnson company. He is famous for his uncannily realistic, meticulously worked bronze figures of postmen, matrons, policemen, doctors and businesswomen dot parks and plazas from Rockefeller Center to Hong Kong Harbor. A long time resident of Princeton, he has created over 200 life-size cast bronze figures have been featured in private collections in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, as well as prominent places in the public realm such as the Rockefeller Centre, New York and Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, Canada.
