Abstract

Description

The building's most distinctive feature is its east faade, which has a bay-like projection that maximizes views of New York Harbor from the offices. The projecting bay tapers in four telescoping stages, culminating in the triangular spire. The tapering effect creates a perspective illusion that accentuates the sense of height.
