dc.descriptionThe Generator Building is located at the corner of the parking lot near the South Tower. It looks like a large brick garage. It was built in 1898 to house two large oil-fired engines that ran two dynamos that produced the electric power to light lights in the South Tower. These dynamos produced a light with twenty-five million candlepower, which was the brightest light in the United States at that time,
