dc.descriptionThe Haskell is one of the most famous races held at Monmouth Park. This race is named for Amory L. Haskell, a member of the New Jersey Legislature who led the legislative charge to once again permit wagering on horse racing in New Jersey. The stakes in this race have been known to be up to $1,000,000. It attracts some of the best horses in America including Triple Crown Winners.
