This Neo-Georgian style mansion was constructed for Peter Hood Ballantine Frelinghuysen, president of P. Ballantine and Sons Brewery. In addition to the formal house and gardens, the 150-acre estate included the Twin Oaks Dairy Farm. Occupied by the Morris Museum since 1964, the house is the backdrop for wide ranging exhibits related to fine arts, anthropology, geology, decorative arts, history, and natural science.
