Description
The Old Bergen Church is the oldest continuous congregation in Jersey City and New Jersey. It was founded during the administration of Director-General Peter Stuyvesant of New Netherland circa 1660-1662 following the construction of the fortified settlement on the hills overlooking the Hudson River.
