dc.descriptionFounded in 1863, St. Teresa of Avila Church is regarded as the "Most Beautiful Church in Summit, New Jersey." It was established to serve the needs of Catholic immigrants from Europe. The parish has the distinction of being one of the oldest in the Archdiocese of Newark, and in New Jersey State. Today, the Parish serves a diverse population while maintaining its rich Catholic heritage and customs through daily liturgy and cultural, educational and social activities.
